The search for the right material and technology normally determines a project from very early on, often triggering the design process. With Halo console, everything happened the other way around. The piece was completely designed by computer with no assurance of how the material would react.
Significantly, Pedro called it Halo because his first renderings were a set of rings in a number of some proposals that the client immediately liked but suggested that it might turn out slightly lighter which seemed to me quite sharp. Then the designer began to make it lighter by insistently searching for materials that could help achieve this purpose. That's when the clear acrylic pops up and conveys this notion of clarity and transparency, one should say as clear as water.
